What is coaching?

Coaching is ‘partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential’ International Coaching Federation definition.

Coaching is often conflated with mentoring, but it is different in a key way. Mentoring is being offered advice and direction by someone more experienced, whereas coaching is based on asking you questions that help you self-reflect and discover the answers to your dilemmas. You retain the ownership of your own growth and development.

Why would I need it?

We think of ourselves as rational creatures, but at heart, we are emotional beings. That can lead to some confusing disconnects between what we say we want to do on our Vision Boards, and what we’re doing every day. When you’re feeling stuck, confused, out of alignment, when your hairy audacious goal isn’t manifesting, coaching can really help.

Who do you work with?

People who work in the not-for-profit or health sectors, who are passionate about what they do. People with a passion for change-making, and people who are tackling leadership roles.
